Kory Brown

Lead Singer & Guitars

Kory Brown

Kory Brown strives to bring back the passionate rock of the 80's with the modern feel of today's music. Brown grew up as a drummer and played on and off with a number of bands throughout high school and college. Shortly after graduation, he put down music all together. “There were various times throughout my 20’s and early 30’s that I aspired to start playing again but I never really had any time while I was building my career in graphic design and software development. Year after year passed and It slowly became all that I thought about. I knew I wanted to pursue music but I also realized it would be a lot of work because I really didn’t have any training or skills as a guitar player or songwriter. Not to mention that I had never sang a note outside of the shower.” In 2011 Brown started to teach himself some basic piano and branched out beyond his 4 chord knowledge on an acoustic guitar and gained some quick success. Early releases such as Little Love Games, Fire and Taking Time gained Brown a small following which has continued to slowly grow over the years. The first full length album Who I Am, was released in January of 2016. It was followed up in 2017 with When the Love Falls. When the Love Falls showcases a vastly improved songwriter and a steady maturity as a singer and musician. A follow-up third album (Split Personality) is already in the works for 2019. The first single off of the Split Personality album, Rescue Me was release on September 20, 2018, followed by Touch in December of 2018 and Vengeance in March of 2019. "I have been writing my own music and singing for several years now and am really blown away by all the support and encouragement that I continue to get! I am truly thankful for each of you out there taking the time to listen and lend your support. Now that I am playing with WellLit we are creating some really unique new music and some incredible takes on our own personal material."

On Live Performances

"There is nothing like performing on stage and looking out into the crowd and see them digging your music. That sets me on fire every time!" ~Kb
